COVID-19

We Are In This Together

All of us at Smileez realize these are strenuous times and promise to provide the cleanest and safest dental health environment possible for the safety of our patients, personnel and community.

How Smileez is Prepared

Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.

If you'd like to schedule an appointment or if you have any questions please call or email us at: 860-345-5333 or contact@smileez.dental.

Going forward, there are some changes that we are implementing to ensure your safety and health.

Smileez is a Drill Free Zone

We only specialize in hygiene, therapeutic, cleaning, screening and preventive dentistry services; therefore we do not perform common dentistry-clinic-services requiring the use of rotary dental and surgical instruments anywhere within our facility. Those services we refer out to dentists located within the local community. By our not performing typical dental procedures, this significantly reduces or eliminates spray within our facility that can contain particle droplets of water, saliva, blood, microorganisms, and other debris containing infectious agents.

As the COVID-19 crisis continues to create challenges for many Americans, Smileez has an obligation to our patients, personnel and community to step up and take action to provide the highest safety and sanitization standards possible. We are accurately following guidance from the American Dental Association (ADA), along with the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to assure our patients that the strictest national guidelines are being implemented and adhered to.

Symptom Screening

Smileez requires ongoing wellness checks for care teams and patients alike. All of our personnel are required to perform and document daily pre-shift health check ins, including temperature checks for everyone. All of our patients will also be required to provide a temperature reading upon entering our facility, along with a brief COVID-19 questionnaire. If any team member is symptomatic strict COVID-19 HR protocols will be immediately activated. Should a patient demonstrate or communicate any signs of COVID-19 symptoms, their appointment will be rescheduled and will be permitted treatment once a bill of clean health is validated.

Brand New 2020/2021 COVID Compliant State-of-the-Art Facility Design

Smileez facilities are designed and built up from the ground floor, addressing COVID-19 compliance measures every step of the way.

Social Distancing

Smileez respects the concerns and safety of our patients as it relates to social distancing, so we’ve gone ahead and implemented the following steps to ensure a significant reduction of patient-to-patient social interactions.

Cleaning, Hygiene & Safety Standards

Smileez is and always will be committed to the highest safety and sanitary standards. We’re cleaning and sanitizing everything throughout our facility with products from the EPA’s list of registered surface disinfectant products for use against coronavirus. Wiping doors, hands and other common area touchpoints for added cleanliness every two hours, from dental chairs to waiting room chairs between patient visits.

Our dental instruments are ultrasonically cleaned then sterilized under immense pressure and steam, inside of an autoclave; removing and destroying 100% of all microbial life including viruses, and bacterial spores.

Wearing Personal Protective Equipment and CDC recommended masks is a must for all of our team members without exception. In case a patient forgot their mask, a new mask will be provided. We prefer that the patient first call our office once from outside our office, then one of our team members will greet them at the door with a new clean mask.

Virtual Patient Exams and Consultations (online early 2021)

At Smileez, your care can begin with a virtual consultation right from the safety of your own home. A Smileez doctor and or Hygienist will connect with you remotely via a secure virtual consultation to assess your needs and determine if an office visit is necessary. Smileez is Paperless

Most Smileez patients never need to fill out paperwork or use a pen within our facility. All new patient and existing patient forms, reports, as well as dentist and or specialist referrals are available online and can be provided digitally via email and or text message. For those patients who do not have access to email or a mobile phone, manual paper forms will be provided and completed from the inside of our patients’ car. If a pen is required, Smileez will provide a pen for each patient to keep.
